Welcome to the Undergraduate Business Program
The Undergraduate Programs at UC Riverside's School of Business are all about opportunity. Our two programs, the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and our newest Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science, are both highly sought after professional degrees that will teach students the skills they need for a successful career in any industry. With the largest undergraduate business administration program in the UC system and one of only a few actuarial science programs housed within a business school, UCR's School of Business strives to educate students in the art and science of all fields related to business. Here, our students are given the opportunity to explore multiple business functions helping them acquire skills and find their path to a successful future.
The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration is an exclusive professional degree, and students are often hired right out of university. Within the business administration program, students may choose a concentration in accounting, business analytics, finance, information systems, marketing, management, and/or operations and supply chain management.
Transfer students that meet the admission requirements are admitted directly into the program while freshmen are admitted to Pre-Business under the College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHASS) and apply to the major at the end of the second year.
The Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science is also a highly sought after professional degree; employers reach out directly to the Undergraduate Office looking for top-notch students within the degree for internships and job opportunities. This program allows students to earn an interdisciplinary degree within the School of Business that focuses on math, statistics, economics and finance. This discipline has two professional organizations that our actuarial science majors are active within, the Society of Actuaries and the Casualty Actuarial Society.
Both first-years and transfer students that meet the admission requirements are admitted directly into our Actuarial Science program. Please view our undergraduate business admissions explainer page for more details.
