Business Analytics is a discipline that uses data and analytics techniques to assess business performance and predict future trends helping businesses improve their decision-making processes and fuel growth.

More data and more types of data than ever are now available to businesses, resulting in several types of business analytics techniques requiring in-depth training: those that describe the past or current situation of a business (descriptive analytics); those that seek to understand reasons for past or current business performance (diagnostic analytics); those that predict figures and results (predictive analytics); and those that recommend specific solutions for business to enhance growth (prescriptive analytics).

Business Analytics graduates are sought after by industry for their ability to use strong quantitative skills to identify and communicate solutions in a fast-changing business environment.
