Behavioral Lab

Realizing the growing importance of experimental research in all areas of business, including marketing, management, finance and accounting, UCR School of Business established a Behavioral Decision Laboratory in 2009. The lab supports 32 state-of-the-art terminals connected in a network and monitors for conducting experiments. The participants in these experiments are UCR students who volunteer to take part in experiments for payoff contingent on performance.

UCR School of Business faculty and Ph.D. students have been conducting experiments in areas including dynamic pricing, congestion in networks, sequential search and payment mechanisms in marketing. The lab is also used as a classroom in which students interact with each other electronically. It has been a major factor in establishing UCR School of Business as a center of research.
