    The Career Center hosts these seminars every quarter. They are the "Gold Standard" for learning the STAR Method (Situation, Task, Action, Result) for behavioral questions.

    • What they cover: Dress code, professional etiquette, and how to handle "exploding offers."
    • Location: Check the Events tab on Handshake for the next session.

    Once you’ve practiced, schedule a Mock Interview Appointment with a Career Specialist through Handshake.

    • The Benefit: You get a 30-60 minute personalized session tailored to a specific job description you are targeting.
    • Feedback: They provide immediate critiques on your presence, eye contact, and answer structure.

    • What: A dedicated portal for 1-on-1 mentorship with UCR alumni.
    • Best For: Informational interviews and long-term mentorship.
    • Action: Create a profile and use the "Industry Matching" tool to find alumni in Finance, Marketing, or Tech.

    Handshake (The Professional Bridge)

    • What: UCR’s primary hub for job postings and employer interaction.
    • Best For: Messaging recruiters directly and finding "Peer-to-Peer" reviews of internships at top firms.
    • Action: Follow "Dream Companies" to get notified the moment they schedule a campus visit.
