Dean’s Advisory Council
The UCR School of Business Dean’s Advisory Council (DAC) members are leaders from business, government and non-profit sectors who champion the school’s key strategic initiatives.
The DAC is divided into three working subgroups that align with the major initiatives of the UCR School of Business. Council leaders play an active role to secure the critical relationships and resources needed for the School of Business to execute its strategic plan.
NEW BUILDING PROJECT
Assist the dean and school leadership in the development and promotion of the new School of Business building project, helping secure financial support for its construction.
CENTERS OF EXCELLENCE
Focus on strategies and philanthropy for the existing Center for Economic Forecasting and Development, as well as the proposed Center for Supply Chain and Logistics.
Leverage relationships to advance the mission of the school and connect students with business leaders in the community.

Inland Empire Market President, Bank of America
Al Arguello is the senior executive for business, civic and philanthropic activities for Bank of America in San Bernardino and Riverside counties. He provides business, civic and philanthropic leadership for Bank of America throughout the market, and works to strengthen communication and integration among the company's local business lines.
Tyson M. Avery
Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer, CBRE, Inc.
Tyson M. Avery is Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer for CBRE, Inc. Prior to CBRE, Mr. Avery served as the Director of Ethics & Compliance of ITT Defense. In this role, Mr. Avery built an integrated and sustained ethics and compliance program for a $6 billion organization, in the aftermath of one of the largest regulatory prosecutions in US history, including over $100 million in fines and remediation.
Certified Public Accountant, Swenson Corp, CPAs
After retiring from Ernst & Young in 1996, Joe Barr joined Swenson Corporation as principal in charge of audit practice, and continues to practice in that capacity. He became a partner in Swenson Advisors in January 2003 and serves as the concurring partner on all attest engagements including SEC, as well as lead partner on several private companies. He is also involved in numerous Riverside community organizations.
CEO, Provident Bank
Craig Blunden is Chairman and CEO of Provident Savings Bank. Prior to his appointment as president in May 1990, he served as executive vice president and chief operating officer of the Riverside-based financial institution. Mr. Blunden holds a Master's degree in Business from UC Riverside.
Founder, Voice Media Ventures and Adjunct Professor, UCR
Dr. Paulette Brown-Hinds is founder of Voice Media Ventures and the second-generation publisher of the VOICE and Black Voice News. The multi-media company includes news weekly print and digital editions, film and new media content production, and a strategic communications firm specializing in community outreach and engagement. She has won statewide and national awards for her column Rants & Raves. As an educator, she teaches an annual course at UC Riverside connecting students in media and the arts with the broader community.
Director, Asset Management, GE Energy
Francisco Escobedo is the Director of Asset Management for GE Power & Water's Inland Empire Energy Center, LLC, an 800MW natural gas fired electricity generating facility located in Menifee, CA. Prior to his role at the Inland Empire Energy Center, LLC, Francisco held various positions of increasing responsibility in Sales and Project Management over a 22-year career with GE Aviation.
Assistant County Executive Officer, Economic Development Agency, County of Riverside
Robert Field currently serves the County of Riverside as Assistant County Executive Officer/Economic Development Agency (EDA). Prior to becoming an Assistant CEO/EDA, Field was Director of the County's Department of Facilities Management, which had a staff of over 600.
Market President, BBVA Compass Bank
Thomas Galindo is the Market President for BBVA Compass and is responsible for the development, oversight and management of the Commercial Banking unit within the Inland Empire and San Gabriel Valley markets. He worked for Bank of America and Wells Fargo for 12 years and Transamerica for 14 years. He earned his B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Cal Poly Pomona and MBA from USC.

Prior to co-founding Luminex, Hawley owned and managed Computer Systems International, a consulting firm specializing in corporate business computing and software development. Hawley holds Bachelor and Master of Science Degrees in Computer Science from the University of California, Riverside.

Vice President, Windermere Tower Properties
Collette Lee has been selling real estate for nearly 30 years. She opened her own business, Tower Realty in 1989. In 2012, Lee, along with her son Brent, expanded Tower Realty into Windermere Tower Properties, where she is a co-owner and Associate Broker. She is an alumnus of UCR and a graduate of Cal Baptist University.
Co-Founder & Executive Vice President, SolarMax
Ching Liu is the Co-Founder and Executive President of SolarMax Technology, Inc. Ms. Liu has over 20 years of experience in global private equity investments. Previously she has served as Vice President and Premier Banking Manager for the Asian Segment of Wells Fargo Bank, as well as Vice President of Wealth Management at Merrill Lynch. Ms. Liu has extensive experience in U.S. Non-Resident Alien investment vehicles and has worked with high net worth Asian clients with complex NRA taxation issues. She is an expert in asset-based financing and asset management for both private investors and Asian-based institutions.

Director of Product Marketing, HG Data
John Osley leads the Product Marketing at HG Data, a provider of marketing and business intelligence for technology companies. He has extensive sales, marketing and channel experience, including over 10 years at Cisco Systems. He graduated from UC Riverside with a B.S. in Business Administration and earned his MBA at Pepperdine University.
Senior Vice President, East West Bank
Andrew M. Pan is the Senior Vice President, Head of China Business and Strategy at East West Bank. Before he joined East West Bank, Mr. Pan was the Chief Representative and Managing Director of the Los Angeles/New York based North American Representative Office of Shenzhen, China (NAROS), which is a bilateral trade and investment promotion office of Shenzhen, China.
David A. Robinson
President and Founding Partner, Enterprise Counsel Group
David Robinson is the founder and senior partner of Enterprise Counsel Group, A Law Corporation (ECG) based in Irvine, California. He also serves as an advisor to the Chapman Law School Center for Constitutional Jurisprudence and as an arbitrator on the American Arbitration Association's Commercial Dispute Resolution Panel.

CFO, Ware Malcomb
Mr. Sloane is CFO of Ware Malcomb, a leading national design firm, providing planning, architectural, interior design, graphic design and civil engineering services to commercial real estate and corporate clients throughout the world. Established in 1972, the firm has 17 offices throughout the United States and Toronto, Panama City and Mexico City. He holds a Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in finance and accounting and a Bachelor of Science with an emphasis in Business Administration, both from the University of California, Riverside.
Executive Vice President & General Counsel, The KPC Group
Bill Thomas is in charge of mergers and acquisitions for The KPC Group, a diversified system of hospitals, medical groups and other healthcare providers in Southern California. He holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara, a Juris Doctorate from Hastings College of the Law, a Masters in Law from New York University Law School and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
President & CEO B&K Precision Group
Victor Tolan defected from communist Romania in 1978 to France and worked for General Motors as a Research and Development Engineer. In the U.S., he worked for Beckman Instruments in California as a research engineer and then as director of Marketing & Sales for a division of ITT. In 1996, he acquired B&K Precision Corporation in Chicago. B&K Precision is an established, large distribution channel and was a well-recognized brand in the U.S. He relocated the company to California, and moved its manufacturing to Taiwan. From 1998 to 2015 the company grew through mergers, acquisitions and organic growth. It now has factories in Nanjing, China; Taipei, Taiwan; and St. Etienne, France, as well as offices in Yorba Linda.
Dean, UCR School of Business
Yunzeng Wang joined the faculty of the UCR School of Business Administration (SoBA) in July 2008 as the Dean's Distinguished Scholar in Supply Chain Management and Professor of Finance and Management Science. He has served as Associated Dean of Academic Programs. Dean Wang's research interests include supply chain management, technology acquisition and adoption strategy, US-China economic development and trade, stochastic optimization and game theory.
