Will Chu '98, Retail Brand Director at Nike Inc. China
UCR Business alumnus, Will Chu '98, currently leads the overall consumer retail experience for Nike Inc. - Nike Basketball and the Jordan Brand in the fastest growing geography - Greater China.
Will partners with the Global headquarters with creative strategy and source materials, then localizes, adapts, and develops a store environment that's relevant to the market area and showcases Nike's product innovation while driving strong sales and KPI's, while building the consumer loyalty to the brands.
Before Nike, Will was the Creative Services Director for Gap Inc. Greater China. Will led the overall creative direction of both Gap and Old Navy brands, and translated the brand aesthetic to all creative materials, served as the creative leader to Marketing.
Will is a marketing and creative services executive with expertise in global retail, strategic marketing, visual collateral production and project management. He is highly effective in talent acquisition and team development. He has a proven track record in project execution, revenue delivery, and budget management.
Will graduated from UCR in the Spring of 1998 with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration. While at UCR, he met some of his life’s best friends whom he still keeps in touch with today. They studied together, had fun together, and most importantly, grew up together academically and as a person. UCR helped Will prepare for some of his life’s challenges, and shaped him as a person.
