UCR School of Business - Undergrduate - Change to Business Major

Change Your Major to Business Administration

Change Your Major to Business Administration

The major in business administration at UC Riverside is unique in that it is a junior/senior program. The admissions criterion to declare the major depends on your current major and type of admission to UCR (freshmen or transfer).

Students fall into one of the following categories, each with different requirements for application to the business administration major:

  • Pre-Business Students

    Pre-Business Students

Students who were admitted to UCR as a freshman with pre-business as their declared major are eligible to apply to the business administration major.

For students who enter UCR as freshmen and are interested in declaring business administration as their major, it is recommended that they complete the Pre-Business Program during their freshmen and sophomore year.

To join the Pre-Business Program, students must meet with an academic advisor in the Pre-Business Program offices at 3400 HMNSS. More information on the program can be found here.
