NFL Linebacker Brandon Copeland Speaks on "Cope'ing With Success"

Brandon Copeland, former NFL linebacker for the New York Jets, and alumnus of the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business, gave a one-hour guest lecture to UCR Business students about his journey through sports, education and financial management.

Brandon Copeland is not your average athlete. Starting linebacker for the Yew York Jets, UPenn professor & alumnus (Wharton), entrepreneur, investor, motivational speaker, philanthropist, co-founder of Beyond the Basics Inc., 501(c)3.

The NFL player, turned professor and entrepreneur, saves nearly 90% of his income and teaches a money class at Penn called ‘Life 101’.

Speaking to a room of business students at the UCR School of Business, “Professor Cope”, as he has come to be called by his Wharton students, spoke on personal financial management and his life lessons “Cope-ing With Success”.
