The new UCR School of Business building

School of Business Event Requirements

 

I agree to comply with the following requirements as well as those on the UCR website.  I understand violations may result in fees and other consequences.

 

  • The User/25Live Requester serves as the host for the duration of the event.  They are the main point of contact for Building Services and are responsible for all guests. 
  • Building Services are the point of contact for events in the building.  We ask that you only work with them and not find other School staff in the building.
  • Services with Facilities, Multimedia, etc. must be coordinated directly with their offices.
  • No food or beverage is allowed in Auditorium 165, Lab 220, Classroom 260, Classroom 280.  Water is allowed in 165, 260, and 280, but not in 220.
  • Glitter, confetti, and other small materials are not allowed to be used in the building. Noncompliance with this may result in cleaning or repair costs.
  • Open flames are not permitted.
  • If using AV, bring your own device.
  • Unless prior arrangements have been made with a technician from ITS, AV support may not be provided.
  • In the event of AV technical issues, no guarantees are made regarding functionality of technology.
  • Do not rearrange or remove furniture or equipment, without prior approval from Building Services.
  • The School of Business can only offer the space and the equipment that comes in that space.
  • Users must provide their own supplies such as whiteboard markers and erasers.
  • Linens required on all tables setup in the hallways.
  • Green trash bins are for food waste, blue bins are for recycling, and the black bins are for landfill and all other trash.  Please do not cross contaminate. 
  • Do not overflow the trash cans.  If the cans are full, please remove the bag to the dumpsters and ask for a replacement bag.
  • Painter’s tape is the only approved adhesive on walls.  Noncompliance with this may result in cleaning or repair costs.
  • UCR amplified sound policies must be followed. 
  • All non-university vendors, service suppliers, and performers are required to contract with UCR and provide a Certificate of Insurance.
  • If food or beverages are provided, the User needs to obtain a Temporary Food Permit through EH&S at least 7 business days in advance. Food permits are not required for closed meetings/events or if catered by UCR’s Citrus Grove Catering. Visit https://ehs.ucr.edu/food-permit for more information.
  • All locations must be returned to the same condition in which they were provided.  Users are responsible for resetting the space and cleaning up, including taking trash to the common area trash receptacles.  Any excessive cleaning may result in cleaning cost.
  • Turn off all AV equipment before departing a space.
  • If catering was provided, User is responsible for removing all food and service equipment to the dumpsters upon your exit from the location.  Any excessive cleaning may result in cleaning cost.
  • If any doors were propped, unprop them so they are left in the locked position at the conclusion of the event.
  • Report any damage to staff.
  • Any items left behind will be discarded.
  • Changes to the reservation less than 10 business days in advance are subject to availability.
  • Any activity conducted on the UCR campus will be in accordance with all pertinent University regulations and policies, as well as any applicable Federal, State and local statutes.
  • Violations of the above rules may result in loss of privileges.
  • If your event will no longer take place, it is important to cancel with Building Services to release the locations and any associated service requests as soon as you can.
