Business Master’s Alumni Referral Scholarship

Two 2019 graduates

Calling all UCR AGSM Alumni!

As an AGSM alumna or alumnus, you are best positioned to help us identify prospective students who meet the cultural expectations, academic rigor, and personal characteristics necessary for success in one of the five business master’s programs at AGSM: Full-time MBA, Professional MBA, Master of Finance, Master of Professional Accountancy, and Master of Science in Business Analytics. With this alumni referral scholarship program, we’re giving you the opportunity to help friends, family, co-workers, and peers receive a substantial scholarship towards their degree funding. As a “thank you,” we’ll send you UCR swag in appreciation. See below for program details and instructions for referring a prospective student.

*Please note that this program is designed both to engage AGSM alumni and to bring in candidates outside of our existing pools. Only graduates of the A. Gary Anderson Graduate School of Management (AGSM) are qualified to refer students to receive this scholarship. UCR undergraduate students do not qualify for the scholarship, as the admission team already considers undergraduate students for additional funding – what we call R’Love! Additionally, the alumni referral scholarship is not intended for alumni currently serving as UCR Business professors.

Zeeeshan Khan
I am immensely grateful to Mr. Shahid Saleem Mohammad, MBA ’16, for his guidance and for referring me to UCR’s AGSM, resulting in me being awarded the Alumni Referral Scholarship. The scholarship played a huge part in helping me in pursuing my academic and career goals, and making it into my dream university. Coming into the MSBA program with a non-business background is challenging, but nevertheless a great experience. I couldn’t have done it without the insights shared by Shahid throughout my journey

Jiahui Tang, Alumni Referral Scholarship Program
I chose UCR because my colleague Mindy, MBA ’19, referred me to the Professional MBA program. Mindy’s personality and field skills really impressed me. As a representative of UCR’s graduate business program, it is apparent that the program educates excellent talent, accelerates personal skills, and increases practice results. I am grateful to receive the scholarship and learn the hard and soft skills that Mindy emulates.
