Professor Elaine Wong Selected for the Inaugural Cohort of the Minority Serving Institutions’ Aspiring Leaders Forum

Elaine Wong, Associate Professor of Management and Associate Dean for the Undergraduate Business Program at the University of California, Riverside School of Business, has been selected to be part of the inaugural cohort of the Minority Serving Institutions’ (MSI) Aspiring Leaders forum. The MSI Aspiring Leaders forum is a highly selective program housed at the University of Pennsylvania. It is developed by the Penn Center for Minority Serving Institutions (CMSI) and supported by grants from the ECMC Foundation, The Kresge Foundation, and the Penn Executive Doctorate Program.

The three-day forum and mentoring program developed by the CMSI aims to create a space for prominent MSI leaders to engage with mid-career aspiring leaders from the education, non-profit, and business sectors in an effort to prepare the next generation of MSI presidents.

Elaine joined the faculty at the University of California, Riverside in 2012, having previously serving on the faculties of Northwestern University and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Her research interests are in the area of organizational behavior, specifically leadership and groups and teams. She is committed to understanding and improving the climate, ethics, diversity, and leadership in her School and University through involvement in numerous committees, including chairing UC Riverside’s Women’s Faculty Association and serving as Vice Chair of the Committee on Diversity and Equal Opportunity.
